Summary 

The purpose of this dataset is to represent as accurately as possible the locations of correctional facilities currently within the State of Arkansas.

Description This dataset was assembled from information gathered by the Arkansas GIS Office from the Arkansas Department of Corrections, Arkansas Division of Community Correction, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. It depicts the locations and includes pertinent attributes about each facility.
Credits 

In all cases, a credit line stating, "Base Map Provided By The Arkansas GIS Office In Cooperation With The Arkansas Department of Corrections, Arkansas Division of Community Correction, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons” should be used.

Use limitations 

                Individuals or companies may reproduce any maps prepared by the Arkansas GIS Office for their own use and can utilize the maps as a base map for other purposes.
